Ms. Caria Tomczykowska, together with Ms. Caroline Brownstone, hosted, in October 2010, a cocktail reception for Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland.
In December 2010, Tourism Committee Chair, Caria Tomczykowska, spent three days with VIPs from Poland who came to the San Francisco Bay Area for a technology symposium in Silicon Valley.
Ms. Tomczykowska escorted Deputy Mayor of Kraków, Kazimierz Bujakowski, to the San Francisco Travel Association to discuss potential commercial exchanges and the feasibility of establishing a Sister Cities travel office both in Kraków and in San Francisco.
Wearing her Arts and Culture Committee hat, Ms.Tomczykowska and Deputy Mayor Bujakowski met with Fine Arts Museum Director John Buchanan to discuss the possibility of exchanging museum and gallery art between the cities of San Francisco and Kraków (projected date, 2013).
Fine Arts Museum Curator Lynn Orr ("Leonardo da Vinci and the Splendor of Poland", 2003) (recipient of an Amicus Poloniae Award bestowed in 2004 by Polish President Kwaśniewski) was invited to Kraków with the intent of inspiring collaborations between Kraków museums and the Fine Arts Museums in San Francisco.

U.S. Travel Association’s International Pow Wow – San Francisco May 21-25, 2011
A delegation from Poland is expected to attend the International Pow Wow in San Francisco. Ms. Tomczykowska will be the liason for the Polish visitors.
