    Creating Judaica in Poland:

    Helena Czernek and Aleksander Prugar in Conversation with Shana Penn 



    Helena Czernek and Aleksander Prugar are the founders of Mi Polin – Poland's first designer brand of Judaica, combining Jewish tradition and design.     Meet the Warsaw-based art duo behind the conceptual art and contemporary design of Mi Polin, the first Polish-made Judaica brand.


    At the free opening reception, meet the artists and hear how they instill their work with the principle of “hiddur micva”  -- enhancing a ritual object’s positive purpose with beauty.


    The exhibit was made possible in part by a special grant from the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture.
