Summer School in Kraków: Jews of Poland

The Centre for European Studies at Jagiellonian University, the Auschwitz Jewish Center and the Museum of Jewish Heritage are pleased to announce their joint 2014 summer school program:
 
Jews of Poland: History, Culture and Memory

Seminars and lectures will introduce an interdisciplinary perspective and allow students to take part in challenging discussions with experts in the field.  By including current research and encouraging debate, the program will address the nuanced and complex history and contemporary reality of Jews in Central Europe. The school will focus on pre-war Jewish life, occupied Poland, the Holocaust, Kraków, Auschwitz, communism and "New Poland".
