Honorary Consul Meets with Ambassador Ryszard Schnepf

Ambassador Ryszard Schnepf met with Tad Taube, a well-known entrepreneur, chairman of Taube Philanthropies and President of the Koret Foundation, on Feb. 25, 2013.

Mr. Taube has been a great friend of Poland over the years, and serves as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland for Northern California. Topics covered during the meeting included highlights of the U.S. Polish bilateral political cooperation, including the Consul’s efforts to support Visa Waiver Program expansion (an effort supported by San Francisco Honorary Consul Christopher Kerosky and others in the Polish American community, including the Kościuszko Foundation) as well as ongoing cooperation in areas of culture and education.

Mr. Taube briefed the Ambassador on the progress of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, now under construction in Warsaw and generously supported by the Koret and Taube Foundations. Consul Taube also encouraged Ambassador Schnepf to visit San Francisco for their next meeting.
