Poland’s new Jewish Museum presented in Big Apple

"Scheduled to open in Warsaw in 2013, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews will present the rich history of Polish Jews and their heritage over a span of 1,000 years. The multimedia narrative museum and cultural center was presented this week in New York in a conference at the World Trade Center. Speakers included Poland's Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski, Head of the Museum’s Core Exhibition Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett, and architect Rainer Mahlamaki.

Our Ambassador was among the speakers, and said: "We regard the Museum as a symbol of the spirit that has guided Poland’s political transformation after 1989 – its openness, respect for truth, and return of historical memories that were for many years presented as lies or missing from our history pages"
